Chaubandi ma Patuki - Aastha Raut

Aastha Raut was born on April 30 to father Hari Bahadur Raut and mother Sabitri Raut. She is the only child of her parents. As she comes from a musical back ground family her father is a renowned folk singer and her mother is lyricist. She passed out her SLC from Milan Vidya Mandir and joined 10+2 at Don Bos College and completed her Bachelor's degree from Campion College with Major English (Journalism).Aastha entered the nepali music industry at early age of 12 catching hands of her guru and god father Suresh Adhikari who is a renowned musician. Upgrading with her singing talents she used to take part in various musical competition where she stood with 1st and 2nd rank position. During her high school she was offered to sing a remix song "Saal Ko Pata" which was a blast out song in Nepali music industry. Knowing with the talent she was again given an opportunity to sing in a big screen movie "Maya's Bar" entitled song "Maya Yo Maya" by Dinesh DC and Suresh Adhikari. During her stay at US made her feel that she should come back to Nepal and do something in nepali music industry.Aastha says, "I feel proud to sing Nepali language songs, which give me so much of joy indeed." She wants to find her own identity in singing and don't want to get compared with anyone. She says, "I am competing to myself, and i dont have any competitors." She futher says, you might earn big money staying abroad but no name and fame. Aastha loves listening to RNB, Hip Pop,Narayan Gopal ,Aruna Lama, Bhakta Raj Acharya, Satya-Sworup, Gopal Yonjan and Reema Gurung songs. She has sung over 2 dozen of songs with remix, nepali movies and collection album.
