Teriya started to dance when she was two and a half years' old, says Anita Chhetri Magar, mother of 11 years old, Teriya Phauja Magar, one of the four finalists of DID Li'l cham season 3. teriya magarIt is hard to believe, but it is true whenever any song tuned in radio/TV, Teria started to shake her body spontaneously, says Anita. When she grew up in her village, Haraiya, Rudrapur VDC-6, Rupandehi district, she didn't have any opportunities to showcase her talency except few occasional stage programs and deusi-bhailo, which comes once a year to celebrate one of the biggest festival of Tihar. Anita further says, it was hard to receive warm welcome from any house owners for any deusi/bhailo group in the village without Teriya. Besides her outstanding dancing skill, she is brilliant in her studies too. During my conversation with Anita, she unfolds the interesting story of dancing talent of Teriya's father and herself, which brought them together and married. It sounds like Teriya inherited the talency from her parents too.
